I shall investigate 3.0 further. I lost compatibility with Digital Devil Saga (PS2 game played through a launch PS3) when I upgraded to 2.7. Oh how I cried. I'm just hoping that they are not looking to eradicate any features via firmware in the future. Thanks for allaying my fears over the OTHEROS feature, Asim. I shall learn to read without jumping the gun in future.

The regional pricing may seem unfair but when taking into consideration VAT and Britain's refusal to join the Euro, it just makes it easier to understand but also easier for companies to fleece us. People will continue to buy this console regardless which should help set Sony up for a good run of success over the next year or so.

I hate company decided exchange rates.

$299 is only about £181... NOT £250!

I'll wait until the price gets a little softer still. £250 is alot to spend at once, considering i'll need to buy a VGA cable, and games too.

Yeah the pricing is way off the charts for the PSPgo. Something between £150 and £200 would have been better which is why I am glad I have it ordered for £179.99!

The systems that run linux now should be fine, they will just remove that option from the PS3 Slim.

Imagine... PSPgo for £229 or for an extra score, you can pick up a PS3. Something just feels really wrong with that.

On top of that, does anyone know what will happen to the systems that already run linux. I tend to run a few apps through my PS3 via Yellow Dog. I was also planning to install Google's Chrome OS on it next year.

I don't think I'll install this update now.
