Assassin’s Creed II DLC Announced

by on December 1, 2009

Well Ubisoft are certainly not resting on their laurels as only a week or so after the release of Assassin’s Creed II they have today announced that DLC is on the way to the Xbox 360 and PS3 early next year. The first slice of the DLC which is titled “Battle of Forli” will be available to download in January via Xbox Live and PSN. Then just as you finish that up, the second slice which is called “Bonfire of the Vanities” will be available to download in February. After doing some research in regards to the “Battle of Forli”, without saying too much, it seems like the content of that could tie-in very nicely with some parts of the Assassin’s Creed II story.

No prices for either of the “episodes” were revealed but interestingly enough Ubisoft have stated that the size of each episode will be around the 1GB mark which, I am sure you will agree, is quite sizeable. The recent GTA IV episode (The Ballad of Gay Tony) was about 2GB in size and that is pretty much like a fully fledged game so are we to expect some lengthy gameplay from this Assassin’s Creed II DLC? I certainly hope so but only time will tell I guess! In the meantime if you are interested in Assassin’s Creed II and still haven’t purchased it then why not check out our review of the game, it might help you decide.
