Splinter Cell: Conviction delayed and Assassin’s Creed mulitplayer announced

by on January 13, 2010

Ubisoft have today announced that Splinter Cell: Conviction will be delayed until April. Yes, we are as disappointed as you! The game has already seen its fair share of delays and most recently it seemed to be set that game was going to be released on February 23rd but that date has today been cancelled. No official reason was given for the delay so it would be wrong to speculate at this moment, all we can do now is wait til April when we will, once again, step into the shoes of Sam Fisher.

Fear not though, to ease the blow of the Splinter Cell: Conviction delay Ubisoft announced a new Assassin’s Creed title which will be released in its 2011 fiscal year. The Assassin’s Creed Episodes will be set after the events of the recently released Assassin’s Creed II and will once again see players take control of Ezio. If that wasn’t news enough, the new game will also see the introduction of a multiplayer mode to the series. We’re not quite sure how multiplayer will fit into the Assassin’s Creed universe but it certainly will be interesting to see what Ubisoft will come up with.
