WoW: The Interface Grid Edition

Hey all you World of Warcraft gamers we have a little treat today in the form of a Grid tutorial. Grid is a party/raid frame add-on that displays party/raid members you are currently playing with. Grid is a powerful add-on which can be customized to show a lot of information and of course look pretty, it can be daunting at first but the video shows how to set up the add-on from its default state and turn it into a powerful raid tool.

The video goes into detail on how to show the weakened soul debuff, which is very useful for priests and also explains how to show threat on party/raid members which of course is useful for tanks.

The video uses a “mouse over macro” to taunt but an add-on like clique is also useful if you do not wish to use a macro. The macro for the mouse over taunt is: “/cast [target=mouseover]Righteous Defense” You can edit this macro to work with any spell or ability, just replace the “Righteous Defense” ability with your desired spell/ability. Personally I map my mouse over macro directly to my mouse because of the lack of full support provided by clique for the Razer Naga at the time of writing.

Grid and many other add-ons can be downloaded from Curse.com

You may remember me from video features such as the Cataclysm Beta and HowToStarCraftII.

My gaming upbringing was a mixture of NES, SNES and Megadrive before my brother decided to convert to the church of PlayStation.

Nowadays I have my own cash and own all of the major consoles and a top of the range gaming PC. Dropping a grand to upgrade my PC is not a huge decision, it's a requirement! If you can't find me on the PS3 or 360 then I am probably on my PC playing the latest MMO, RTS or FPS.
