Listings (which have now been taken down) spotted on the French Amazon website suggest that the PS3 will be getting HD remakes of the original Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia trilogies this coming November. At the time of writing Ubisoft have yet to confirm or deny this “leak” but, it must be said, the idea itself doesn’t seem too far fetched. After all, the relative success of the God of War and God of War II HD remakes must have caught the attention of a few big names within the games industry. The fact that Sony also have a HD Sly Cooper collection on the way speaks volumes too.

If this “leak” is indeed true, we expect something to be announced next week in Cologne during Gamescom. Until then, we can only hope these two quality trilogies get the HD remakes they truly deserve.
