According to Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb, as of November 1st 2010, Microsoft are to raise the price of a subscription to Xbox LIVE in the UK, USA, Canada and Mexico.
Previously, one month on LIVE would have cost us Brits £4.99, but as of November 1st it’s going to be £5.99. (The USA have been hit harder).
Hit the link for full price changes, but you can bet there will be a fair amount of outrage, especially given that the justification for the price increase is : “Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same”.
However, they have been kind enough to offer a price lockdown, so if you renew now, you’ll get the “old” prices.
