Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Remake Coming to PSN

We’re big fans of the Oddworld series here at GodisaGeek, so we were pleasantly surprised when Just Add Water announced that they are remaking the highly underrated, Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath. The HD remake will be finding its way over to PSN with Move support accompanied by a healthy amount of upgrades including 720p visuals, detailed characters, normal mapping, self-shadowing, re-mastered dialogue and additional bonus material that is yet to be announced.

Just Add Water have been working closely with Oddworld founders Lorne Lanning and Sherry McKenna to ensure the remake is faithful to the original, with Stewart Gilray, Managing Director of JAW stating:

“Since word got out that we’ve been working with Oddworld Inhabitants there have been many rumours circulating about what we’re working on. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.”

So there you have it, Stranger’s Wrath is coming to the PlayStation 3. Sounds pretty good to us, how about you? Let us know your thoughts on our forums.

I live, breathe, eat, sleep and drink GEEK! Been gaming since I was 4 years old and have made it my mission to own every gaming platform since I held my first NES controller. There isn't a genre I don't enjoy, if a game is even remotely good I'll be playing it. In my spare time (when I'm not gaming) I like to feed my anime, Japanese Culture and Gundam model kit addictions.

If we are going to get on there is two things you need to acknowledge - Hideo Kojima is a GOD and Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a master piece!

God truly is a GEEK!
