Cataclysm Gets Official Release Date

Blizzard have today announced the official release date for the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion; Cataclysm. The highly anticipated expansion will be released on December 7th, that’s just two months away! The announcement confirms what hardcore WoW fans probably already knew. A forum announcement made last week explained that Cataclysm would be launched one week before season 9 of the arena which is set to hit on December 14th.

CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime had this to say:

Cataclysm includes the best content we’ve ever created for World of Warcraft. It’s not just an expansion but a re-creation of much of the original Azeroth, complete with epic new high-level adventures for current players and a redesigned leveling experience for those just starting out.

So there you have it, WoW fans across the world can start planning for their assault on a revamped Azeroth. You had better get your guild sorted, book time off work and make sure your PC is ready for the Cataclysm.

Nowadays I have my own cash and own all of the major consoles and a top of the range gaming PC. Dropping a grand to upgrade my PC is not a huge decision, it's a requirement! If you can't find me on the PS3 or 360 then I am probably on my PC playing the latest MMO, RTS or FPS.
