Crackdown 2 “Deluge” DLC Dated and Detailed!

by on November 2, 2010

As was expected, fans of Crackdown 2 will be getting another reason to re-enter Pacific City sooner rather than later.  Joining the previous “Toy Box” DLC is this new content called “Deluge”.

Released on November the 16th, Crackdown 2 will get its “most riotous, challenging and fun addition yet with the release of the “Deluge” Game Add-on, available for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The new Game Add-on delivers a heart pounding, frenetic new co-op arcade mode called “Deluge” which pits up to four players against increasingly more challenging waves of denizens from Pacific City. The Capture the Orb mode, which introduces a “Crackdown” twist to capture the flag, will have you hurtling buildings and dodging rockets as you race to score, as well as several updates for “Crackdown 2” affecting weapons, vehicles and more.”

In a similar fashion to previous Crackdown content, this DLC will be available in both trial and premium (paid) versions, with the trial version containing just a sampler of the full premium edition.

It appears that the “Deluge” DLC will also contain something interesting for Windows Phone 7 users!

“The “Crackdown 2” “Deluge Pack” also delivers a first-of-its-kind integration for Xbox LIVE members, directly tying activities and accomplishments earned in the new Windows Phone 7 game, “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst,” with the Xbox 360 game. A new take on tower defence games, “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst” is a “home defence” game that uses Bing Maps to allow you to choose your home territory anywhere in the real world and defend it from an onslaught of Freaks and Cell Terrorists. By building lethal Agency bases at your home, neighbourhood shops, favourite geographical features and so on, your accomplishments in “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst” will unlock bonuses in Deluge mode that call in support, such as rocket-equipped Agency helicopters, extra Peacekeepers, and exclusive power-ups. Likewise, scores in Deluge can unlock new weapon upgrades in “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst,” which will be available this November.”

Crackdown 2 is available now exclusively on Xbox 360, the “Deluge” downloadable content will be available on the 16th of November. You can read the GodisaGeek.com review of Crackdown 2 here.
