Voice Fantasy Released today for iOS Devices

by on November 2, 2010

In a rather unexpected turn of events, Square-Enix have today released “Voice Fantasy”, a completely new type of game in which you and your friends’ recorded voices are used to summon characters that can fight battles.

Yeah, that’s right, voice activated battling from the creators of Final Fantasy!

From the press release : “The game contains three modes: ‘Single Match’, where characters battle one-on-one; ‘Tag Match’, for two-on-two battles; and ‘Demon King’, where you take down monsters.

Each summoned character’s respective skills and abilities are brought to bear in heated RPG-style battles that can be enjoyed using only one device. Battles are fully automated, making it easy for anyone to pick up and play.

As a bonus feature, the voice you record is converted into a ‘character voice’ and used during battles. What kind of voice could this be? You’ll just have to play the game and find out for yourself! Also, many familiar characters from some of Square Enix’s classic titles will join the game at later updates. Please look out for them!”

The title is for all iOS compatible devices (3G and upwards) that have built in microphones or can have a seperate microphone connected, for example the iPod touch.

Voice Fantasy is priced at £1.79 / €2.39 and is available now!
