The Piano Man cometh!

Harmonix have announced that a six-pack of downloadable tracks from Billy Joel will be making their way to the Rock Band Music Store on March 22nd. In an effort to add a better selection of challenging keyboard tracks, the “Billy Joel Piano Challenge Pack” will feature a whole host of classic Billy Joel tracks, to add to his existing generous selection of 12 songs that are already in the Rock Band Music Store.

Billy Joel is the third-best selling solo musical artist ever in the United States of America, so it is no surprise that his songs feature heavily in the game. The songs that will be featured in the pack are as follows, and will be available to purchase both as part of the challenge pack and as separate songs:

“I Go to Extremes”
“Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)”
“My Life”
“Prelude/Angry Young Man” (features pro guitar / bass)
“Scenes from an Italian Restaurant”
“She’s Always a Woman”

So the Rock Band Music Store continues to expand and Harmonix keep true to their promise to release new content weekly. Check out the Godisageek review of Rock Band 3 here, or why not discuss what songs you would like to see come to Rock Band, over in our forums.

These tracks will be available for Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 on March 22nd, although in Europe they will come to PlayStation 3 on March 23rd. They will cost £0.99 (160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points) per song. They can also be purchased as the Billy Joel Piano Challenge Pack, priced at $9.99, £4.99 UK, €7.99 EU (800 Microsoft Points / 1000 Wii Points). The Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade for “Prelude/Angry Young Man” will cost an additional £0.59 (80 Microsoft Points/100 Wii Points).
