Dance Central Spring Dance-Off Coming to London

Dance Central LogoIf your attitude to Dance Central can be largely summed up by the phrase: “What people do in their own homes is their business”, look away now.

On Sunday 20th March, the two universes of controller-free gaming and reality television will collide in the form of an event known only as “Dance Central Spring Dance-Off”. This momentous occasion will culminate in a historic dance battle, pitting erstwhile Britain’s Got Talent legend Kevin Cruise against the mysteriously-named “Happiness” from the reality television backwaters of Got to Dance.

The rivals will be competing upon the timeless platform of Dance Central for Kinect XBOX 360, and fans (oh, they definitely have fans) will be able to dance along with their favourite in Covent Garden’s East Piazza.

If you think you’re a better dancer than Kevin Cruise and, erm, “Happiness”, then you may be in with a chance to win a pair of Kylie Minogue concert meet and greet tickets, and XBOX 360 console, Kinect sensors and copies of Dance Central. Those of you who are wondering why someone that’s good enough at Dance Central to win a Dance Central competition would need a copy of Dance Central will be relieved to discover that a special Kinect “pop-up space” will be available in Covent Garden from the 17th of March, meaning that everyone will have an opportunity to perfect their moves for free before the big event.

The event will kick off at 1:30pm on the 20th and be hosted by none other than the illustrious Louie Spence of Pineapple Dance Studios fame.
