Pokemon Black And White Have Sold A Million

by on March 15, 2011

Pokemon. It was a game, now it’s a series of games. You were probably aware of this. Similarly, you were probably aware that the series is fairly popular.

So popular, in fact, that the new Pokemon Black and Pokemon White have sold one million European copies between within ten days. One hundred thousand copies per pay. Over four thousand copies per hour. Yikes.

This all means that there are a lot of users primed and ready for the launch of www.pokemon-gl.com on 30th March 2011. This is a Pokemon website which will allow players to upload saved data from Pokemon Black and Pokemon White and use it to access specialised content. Players will be able to explore Pokemon Dream World and Global Battle Union, with all actions online reflected in the players saved game data.

Pokemon Black and White are out now for Nintendo DS.

I thought Pokemon Black and White sold more than a million copies in 24 hours according to GamesRadar

GamesRadar are probably reporting the US sales, whereas our story is in relation to European sales. The figures we have are taken directly from the Nintendo press release! :-)
