Re-Live 1980’s Football In Championship Manager 80’s Legends

Time to grow back your old mullet, the 1980’s are back!

Beautiful Game Studios, a developmer that is part of Square Enix Europe are commited to taking football fans back in time to an era of crazy haircuts and cheesy cup final songs. Following on from their already released Championship Manager 1970s Legends, the team are aiming for yet another classic decade, with the imminent arrival of Championship Manager 1980s Legends for iPhone and iPod Touch.

The idea behind these titles is to let players change the course of history and see things happen the way they always wished they had. What would have happened if Gazza had stayed at Newcastle? If you had managed Gary Lineker, would he have played more aggressively? The database contains thousands of players from the 1980s, allowing players to build a dream team of the decade. The title will also feature illustrated news stories from the era, and with multiple start dates, you can chose exactly what point in time, or at which incident you wish to jump back in time.

Roy Meredith, General Manager on the Championship Manager series postures that “1980s Legends lets you take that revival one step further and manage some of the greatest names in football, back in a decade when football was about mullets and mud. With 1980s styled visuals you really will immerse yourself in the era.”
