Go Behind The Scenes Of The New Halo: Reach Map Pack

In preparation for the release of three action-packed new multiplayer maps for Halo: Reach, as part of the Defiant map pack – 343 Industries (the new development studio now responsible for the Halo franchise since Bungie left Microsoft) and Certain Affinity are putting together an exclusive behind-the-scenes video which takes a look at the making of the pack. This video will be available for download today from the Halo Waypoint on Xbox LIVE, the website www.HaloWaypoint.com and the new Waypoint app on Windows Phone 7.

The feature will showcase a series of interviews with the development team, where they discuss the design inspirations behind the set of new maps, as well as a preview of the multiplayer action that can be expected when playing on the maps. The Defiant map pack is made up of three new battlefields, which are titled; Condemned, Highlands and Unearthed, as well as a new Firefight level. The map pack will cost 800 Microsoft Points from LIVE and will add new Achievements worth upto 150 Gamerscore points.

On the same day, the full game of Halo Reach will be available on Xbox LIVE through their Games on Demand service, so players will be able to download and play the entire epic story, without even leaving the comfort of their home.

Finally, comedy video producers Red Vs Blue will be partnering with 343 Industries to provide video walkthroughs for all of the new maps, which will also be viewable on Xbox LIVE, www.HaloWaypoint.com or Waypoint on Windows Phone 7 from March 14th, the day before release. Swot up on the new maps and learn all of the best strategies, accompanied by their trademark commentaries.

The Defiant map pack will be available via Xbox LIVE from March 15th and will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points. Check out our review of the full game here.
