by on March 10, 2011

The Rock Band Network just keeps growing and growing as Harmonix continue in their efforts to release new updates on a weekly basis, with the announcement of four more tracks to be added to their music store next week. The new tracks coming to the game as premium downloadable content will be two more songs from The Police, to add to their already substantial presence in the game, a second track from OK Go, and another track for seventies rockers War.

OK Go, most famous for their Treadmill-dance video to accompany the popular single “Here We Go Again” (which is already available for download to Rock Band owners) add a second of their songs to the game, with new track “Shooting The Moon” straight off their latest album. Also, 1970’s classic rock outfit War expand their own personal library of tracks as their debut UK chart hit, which orignally reached number 3 – “Spill The Wine” is loaded into the playlist. And finally, to add to their large collection of tracks already available in the game, The Police feature this week with two more songs; “So Lonely”, from their 1978 debut record and their absolute monster hit – everyone knows this one – “Every Breath You Take”.

Watch out for more track updates next week and every week, as the list of available songs for the game attempts to reach 3000. They aren’t that far off the mark.

These tracks will be available for Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 on March 15th, although in Europe they will come to PlayStation 3 on March 16th. They will cost £0.99 (160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points) per song. The Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade for “Every Breath You Take” will cost an additional £0.59 (80 Microsoft Points/100 Wii Points).
