Rock Band Gets New Tunes From Joy Division! (Plus J. Geils Band And Grand Funk Railroad)
Harmonix have announced that from April 5th 2011, indie disco classic “Love Will Tear Us Apart” from legendary Manchester new wave punks Joy Division will be available to download for their wildly successful Rock Band game. Also there will be tunes from a couple of American MOR chancers from the olden days. Read on!

Geils Band and Joy Division and two songs from Grand Funk Railroad will be available beginning April 5 in theRock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Grand Funk Railroad, the American classic rock band that reached stardom in the 70s, will make their debut in Rock Band next week with two of their most popular hits – the No. 1 hit single, “We’re an American Band, “ as well as “The Loco-Motion.”
New Wave English rockers Joy Division will make their debut next week as well, with a song sure to make any emotional keyboardist happy – “Love Will Tear Us Apart.”
Boston rockers J. Geils Band will add to their Rock Band catalog with their piano-heavy classic “Freeze-Frame.”
As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable.
