Xbox LIVE Arcade Update: April 12th-25th
Get ready for another fortnight’s worth of Xbox LIVE Arcade deals and special offers. The Microsoft Xbox LIVE Newsbeat for the period between 12th-25th April contains a whole host of discounts on some of the top-selling Xbox LIVe games, such as Trials HD and Limbo – both of which are award-winning titles. A lot of add-on packs and extras are also included in the offers. Xbox are holding a free weekend of Xbox LIVE Gold membership between April 21st (a Thursday) through to April 25th (the following Monday), which will tie-in with these special discounts and prizes will also be up for grabs over the Easter weekend.
As if a free weekend of entertainment on Xbox LIVE – dubbed Xbox Nations – is not enough, “Kinect Sports” players around the globe will join together and attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest online 100m sprint’ at 18.00 on Saturday 23 April. Players can participate by jumping on Xbox LIVE, firing up “Kinect Sports,” and running a 100-metre dash event at 18.00. Each and every runner will be rewarded with an exclusive Xbox and Guinness World Record Avatar T-shirt.
