The war between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 is heating up nicely now, especially before the start of E3, and now DICE has now sent a shot across to Infinity Ward with two new pieces of concept art showing off the graphics of their upcoming title. The pictures are concept art of two maps the game which are called Gulf Of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula and look absolutely beautiful!

It will be interesting to see how Infinity Ward will respond to this but it means we will see some fantastic things coming up in the upcoming months!

Having previously covered off on two of the most revered maps in Battlefield history, Strike at Karkand and Wake Island, today the team has revealed new information and concept art from the two remaining maps in the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand limited edition, the Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula. Head on over to http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/ to check it out. Gamers can pre-order the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition now at http://eastore.ea.com/battlefield3 and receive ‘Back to Karkand’ for free.

Battlefield 3 leaps ahead of its time with the power of Frostbite  2, DICE’s new cutting-edge game engine. This state-of-the-art technology is the foundation on which Battlefield 3 is built, delivering enhanced visual quality, a grand sense of scale, massive destruction, dynamic audio and character animation utilizing ANT technology from the latest EA SPORTS™ games. In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of U.S. Marine Sargeant Henry Black. As the first boots on the ground, experience heart-pounding missions across diverse locations including Paris, Tehran and New York, with periods of tension and anticipation are punctuated by moments of complete chaos. As bullets whiz by, as walls crumble, as explosions force players to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before.
