More Brink! More Trailers! More HUD Details!
Some game trailers are thrill rides, teasing the excitement of a new title whilst hinting at all the new gameplay opportunities hidden within. It makes you desperate for a game, willing to forego reviews and better judgement to get your pre-order in RIGHT NOW DAMMIT.
Other trailers are tutorials about how the HUD works.
This newest trailer for Brink, the new shooter from Splash Damage and Bethesda, falls right into the second category. Oh well.
Don’t get me wrong, now. This is still a good trailer. Any Brink news is good news. It has been a long wait to get onto the Ark and with the game just around the corner all new footage is leaving us at God is a Geek salivating. And, judging by how many new ideas that Splash Damage is looking to crowbar into the game, a couple of tutorials can’t hurt anybody.
