Modern Warfare 3 Rumours: Elite, Box Art And Logo

by on May 11, 2011

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 LogoThe Call of Duty rumour mill has certainly gone into overdrive today, in what will inevitably be the shape of the news in the weeks leading up to the announcement of the next instalment in Activision’s flagship game franchise — rumoured to be Modern Warfare 3 — around the time of this years E3 conference in LA.

Leaked images that have emerged today are claimed to be the logo for Modern Warfare 3, as well as another logo for an online project, which could be a paid premium service called Call of Duty Elite. In addition to this, an image which could be the box art for Modern Warfare 3 has surfaced on the internet. The box art is for the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 and is very similar to the Modern Warfare 2 retail box design. Continue reading to see the images for yourself.

The images look pretty professional, especially the box art, and it is given more weight because the logos came from a forum user, while the box art image was received by Kotaku and the “MW3” is exactly the same in both images. As for the Call of Duty Elite logo, it could be the face of a premium service which Activision strongly hinted at during its recent financial call. The premium service will be an add-on to the existing online services — which will remain free to all — and will enhance the social and communal aspect of the game, as well as offer bonus content, no doubt. It would seem Activision has some pretty huge plans lined up for the next Call of Duty game, and we will be sure to let you know of any further information as it comes in.

What do you think of the logos and box art? Good fakes or the real deal? Let us know in the comments below.
