At E3, Telltale Games have announced that the final episode of their Back To The Future: The Game series will be released on June 23, 2011 and will be entitled “Outatime”. This episodic video game has expanded upon the world created in the movies and continues the adventures of Marty McFly and Doctor Emmett Brown. Bob Gale – who wrote the screenplay for the film series and acted as producer and story consultant for the games – said that: “The voyage of contributing to the creation of Back to the Future: The Game has been a fantastic one… I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Telltale Games to continue a story I helped create 25 years ago in an entirely new medium, and to do so with iconic members of the original cast.”

Dan Connors, CEO for Telltale Games, goes on to say that: “Fans have completely embraced Back to the Future: The Game and it has quickly become our most successful game to date. Because the series finale promises to be something extraordinary, we are offering the first episode free of charge up until launch of the finale on June 23 to encourage all Back to the Future fans who haven’t yet joined in on the episodic game series to jump in and get caught up prior to June 23.”
