Next Island Releases New In-World Content
MindArk, publishers of free to play MMO Next Island (part of the Entropia Universe) have just released new in-world content for the game, including new environments and characters, both of which will add depth to Next Island’s background and storyline.
Next Island sees players taking on the role of a member of the utopian community on New Elysium. These scientific pioneers have used an interdimesional transporter to leave Earth and come to a new world, which though beautiful, is both mysterious and dangerous. The game gives players the opportunity to utilise their wits and creativity to explore Elysian technology and solve the island’s mysteries, the first of which involves searching for missing Elysians who have been transported to a parallel version of Ancient Greece.
Though free to play, Next Island features Entropia Universe’s real-cash economy which enables players to set up shops and own property as well as exploring Elysium’s rich environment. As more content is released, we’re likely to learn more about the backstory, but for now, these screenshots show us some of the characters and vistas that are currently available in-game.

My favourite games have plots, and love exploring the ways games tell stories. I've been "exploring" this on God is a Geek since January 2011, taking the odd break to play Super Smash TV, drink fine ale and rock out.
I compare video games to romance novels, vent fury at celebrity voiceovers and nurse a severe Tomb Raider complex over at my blog, Well-Rendered.
