Programme Announced For Develop 2011 In Brighton

The Develop video game conference in Brighton is one of the largest game shows in the UK, and it is going to kick off again in 2011 between 19th-21st July. Today the conference organisers have announced the full programme for the conference, which includes talks from Rare, Splash Damage and Relentless Software, amongst many others. Boasting a schedule which includes over 100 sessions, the programme will cover; 20 Evolve sessions on Tuesday 19 July, 63 Develop Conference presentations on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 July, 5 Games:Edu and 4 free Expo sessions on Wednesday 20 July and 10 Audio and 9 new Indie Dev sessions on Thursday 21 July.

Some of the main speakers and guests appearing at Develop will be:

  • Andrew Wilson, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Development at EA SPORTS  opening Evolve with his keynote talk ‘Moving the Goalposts – Bringing Social Experiences to all Game Platforms’
  • Michael Acton Smith , CEO and founder of UK based Mind Candy – the brains behind the global children’s phenomenon Moshi Monsters – giving this years closing Evolve keynote ‘Lessons Learned Building Moshi Monsters to 50m Users’
  • Laura Fryer Vice President and general manager for WB Games Seattle and ‘one of the most influential women in gaming’ giving the Business Track keynote
  • Iain McCaig, one of the film industry’s leading artists and conceptual designers, giving the Art Track Keynote – Showtime!
  • Nick Burton presenting Rare’s latest Kinect advancements in his design talk – ‘Kinect 2.0 and the Future of Gaming and Entertainment – A Rare Studios Perspective‘
  • Phil Kovats, Sony Playstation’s Audio Director & Sound Designer currently working on blockbuster series’ God of War and Uncharted 2 will give the Audio Track keynote
  • Mick Hocking, Senior Director for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will be giving a first year post mortem on PS3 3D gaming in full HD 3D at the Odeon Cinema
