Forza 4 Dev Diary Part One Sees Turn 10 Explore The Bernese Alps

by on August 4, 2011

Microsoft has today released the first in what is to be a series of developer diaries for Forza Motorsport 4,  which will see the Turn 10 team in several locations around the world, including Switzerland and Italy, as they search out inspiration for the tracks which will be found in the game when it’s released later this year.

Turn 10 Studios talks about the techniques used to capture images when in the alps, using different levels of exposure in order to have more detailed images to work with when back in the studio. They also talk up their graphics and lighting engine, and you can’t help but be impressed when a preview of the track is shown at the end of the clip. It looks breathtaking.

Check out the video for yourself, and be sure to stick around to the end to see the Bernese Alps track in all its glory.

Forza Motorsport 4 releases this autumn, exclusively for Xbox 360.
