Massive Update Coming to RedLynx’s iPad/iPhone Game 1,000 Heroz

A lot of people know who RedLynx are, they made the massively popular Trials HD, which they’re making a sequel to with Trials: Evolution, they also made the upcoming Nintendo WiiWare title MotoHeroz. On top of all that success there’s also a hugely popular (just look at the statistics!) iPad and iPhone game, 1,000 Heroz, which they’ve just announced a massive update to.

The premise of 1000 Heroz couldn’t be simpler. Each day, you guide a new hero through a brand new level, running and jumping to get the fastest time possible. You can restart as many times as you like to get best time possible.

You can also revisit previous levels whenever you like – and there is no requirement to play the new level every day – the levels are always there, waiting for you.

“As The Ancient Age of Hungry Lizards comes to an end, and The Hungry Age of Famished Farmers begins,” he proclaimed, “I am pleased to proclaim the following new features for Heroz and players to enjoy:

  • Support for multiple custom friend leagues
  • New game elements: Fast Carts, Spinning Wheels, and Crazy Cannons!
  • Faster Heroz with improved running physics
  • New Run notifier – never miss a day

“1000 Heroz is definitely being played – a lot,” said Tero Virtala, CEO of RedLynx. “We have been keeping stats on our server which show just how dedicated the 1000 Heroz player base is.”

Those statistics include:

  • Over 20 million game restarts since launch
  • Over 5 million completed runs
  • Over 6000 custom Friend Leagues created

1000 Heroz is available for $0.99 for iPhone, $1.99 for iPad through the iTunes App Store here.

By day I play video games, test video games or just simply write about them. By night I fight crime on the streets of London as a masked vigilante known only to a select few ... damn SECRET identity. Could never get the hang of that.

I've been writing about video games for about 10 years now, and playing them for even longer, starting off with a Spectrum ZX passed down to me in about 1988. Yes, I used to play games that came on cassettes. Yes, they were AWESOME!

I've been writing for God is a Geek since October 2010 and loving every minute of it, aside from that I write for my own website and work as a video game tester for Testology. So, yeah, I'm pretty much living the life of a gamer, and I don't intend stopping anytime soon thank you very much.

Unless I run out of money, then we might have a problem.
