The retail edition of the upcoming FPS blockbuster Red Orchestra 2 – Heroes of Stalingrad sees a new release date: Following the recently announced new online release date, the boxed versions will now accordingly be hitting the shelves of retail stores throughout the UK and Ireland on Friday, September 16th, 2011. The recommended retail price is £29.99 / €29.99. The retail edition of the approximately 7 GB sized game is already available for pre-orders at numerous shops and online retailers.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, the leading tactical multiplayer WWII shooter on the PC, will take the award winning Red Orchestra franchise into the next generation of gaming. Heroes of Stalingrad will focus on the Battle of Stalingrad and the surrounding operations, both German and Russian, from July 1942 to February 1943. The game allows the player to experience one of the most brutal battles in all of human history.
