Rock Band 3 To Receive Christmas Bundle Treatment Courtesy Of Mad Catz

by on August 11, 2011

When Rock Band 3 was first released last October, it unfortunately suffered from poor sales and was part of the declining interest in rhythm-action music games. The title scored impressively with critics – including our very own site – but didn’t set the retail charts alight. With the support of the Rock Band Music Store, that Harmonix updates on a weekly basis, the game has gathered more pleasing long-term results – but it still hasn’t reached the levels of success that it deserves. Well forget about all of that, Mad Catz are swooping in to the rescue with a new strategy which will hit retailers in time for Christmas 2011.

Mad Catz Interactivehave arranged a new deal with Harmonix that will enable them to re-release Rock Band 3 in a set of new bundles, just in time for the Holiday season this year. The peripheral specialists are planning to bundle the game software with their exclusive Wireless Keyboard Controller, their Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller and the Wireless Fender Mustang PRO-Guitar Controller – which is an instrument controller so realistic, that it actually lets the player learn to play real guitar and bass sections in Rock Band 3 pro-enabled tracks.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Darren Richardson states that, “We are pleased to assume publishing responsibilities for Rock Band 3 this holiday season.  Rock Band is the ultimate interactive experience for any music fan, whether they’re looking for a great party game to share with friends, playing through Rock Band’s 3000 plus song library, or seeking out a fun way to learn guitar, drum or keyboard skills using Rock Band 3’s PRO Mode.”

So if you haven’t already sampled the delights of the most accurate and in-depth music game ever released, now is certainly the time to look into it.

Rock Band 3 is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and DS. Read the GodisaGeek review here.
