The Publishing compoany Lace Mamba Global has quickly built a reputation as a gaming company that supports the mainstream release of independently-developed Adventure Games. The point-and-click genre has gone through some tough times, but with companies such as Lace Mamba supporting it, the games are enjoying somewhat of a rennaisance. The company can now proudly announce that The Book of Unwritten Tales – an award-winning, German-developed adventure game will be released in the UK and Irelnad on October 29th, 2011.

The game is set in a fantasy world, inspired by traditional role-playing and Adventure Games. In the vein of the old Lucasarts games, this title takes a humorous point of view as it both parodies and pays homage to those games, books and films that came before it. You will be able to play as three different heroes as you play through the game: The little gnome Wilbur, the elf princess Ivo, an adventurer named Nate, and The Critter, Nate’s pet. Some puzzles can only be solved by a particular character, others will require you to use several characters in conjunction to make use of their teamwork.

In a world torn by war, the aged gremlin archaeologist Mortimer MacGuffin harbours the dark secret of a powerful artefact. Whoever calls this artefact his own, will determine the fate of the world. While the Army of the Shadows sends out its best and most devious agents to discover the secret, the Alliance’s four heroes find themselves involuntarily drawn into the crisis…

Featuring about 20 hours of gameplay in a massive game world with detailed graphics, The Book of Unwritten Tales offers more than 150 mind-boggling puzzles and numerous crazy characters, ranging from two-headed ogres and vegetarian dragons to good-natured zombies.

German press critically acclaimed this adventure gaming gem. The game received twelve rartings of 90 % / 9.0 or more, the average score is 86.7 %. German magazine “PC Games” called The Book of Unwritten Tales “easily the most recommendable adventure game in years”. “GameStar” stated: “This adventure tells a fantastic story with exceptional characters, lots of humour and allusions to well-known fantasy stereotypes and logical puzzles. The 3D landscapes are beautiful.”
