NBA Jam: On Fire Edition gets Feral

by on September 16, 2011

After the successful re-launch of the 2-on-2 NBA Jam Basketball franchise last winter, EA Sports have been hard at work on a revised version of the game, entitled the On Fire Edition. The game is due to be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, via download only, unlike its predecessor that saw a full retail release. As usual, there are going to be some secret players and teams to unlock in the game, and this year the game is going wild with the Honey Badgers team – consisting of three man-size Badgers. Check out the new trailer, which shows the new team.

See below for details of some of the improvements and new features:

Over 1000 gamesplay enhancements and improvements you will notice the moment you pick up a controller – resulting in the smoothest, most responsive NBA JAM experience to date.

Back by popular demand are features like Tag Mode and Team Fire which add loads of new strategies.

In Tag Mode you’ll now have full control over both players on the court, which means you’ll never be left outside of the action.

With Team Fire thrown down three consecutive hoops and you’ll ignite your entire team in blue flames.

There’s also all new style moves and trick shots called Razzle Dazzle which allow you express yourself on a court at any given time.

The game also has more dunks, more moves, more NBA stars, more NBA legends, more secret teams, more players and more characters than ever featured before in NBA JAM.

And here come the Badgers:

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition will release on the PlayStation Network on October 4th and on Xbox LIVE Arcade on October 5th. The game is download-only and will cost $14.99 on PlayStation 3 and 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360.
