Hallelujah, Level-5 head honcho Akihiro Hino has announced at the Tokyo Game Show that their forthcoming collaboration with Studio Ghibli – Ni No Kuni – will see release in North America and therefore will be getting transklated for English-speaking gamers. The game will be released in Japan on PlayStation 3 on November 17, the fantasy RPG title (subtitled “Queen of the White Ashes”) has been confirmed for an early 2012 release in North America. Finally!

At the Tokyo Game Show, at the Sony Computer Entertainment Asia press conference, Level-5 president Akihiro Hino was questioned about the worldwide release status of the title in a Q&A section, where he went on to confirm that production is already underway on an English-language translation. In the Q&A he also went on to reveal that there are plans for additional content to be made available as DLC after the release of the main game at retail – although no details or dates for this were announced yet. There has still not been any mention of a European release, but the news of an English translation will surely give hope to European gamers, and there is always the option for importing as PlayStation 3 games are region-free. Now it is just a matter of seeing if we can wait until 2012 for the game!!!

Ni No Kuni will be released in Japan for PlayStation 3 on November 17th. The North American version will follow in early 2012. The Nintendo DS version was released in Japan in December 2010.
