Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Maps and Modes Detailed in new Trailer

by on November 1, 2011

Modern Warfare 3Activision has today released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, detailing the new maps and modes that will be playable in the game. With just a week until its worldwide release, Sledgehammer Games’ Michael Condrey and Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin are on hand to talk players through some of the aspects of Modern Warfare 3‘s revamped multiplayer.

The video focuses on the new Kill Confirmed and Team Defender modes in the multiplayer, with some information about the multiplayer customisation thrown in, too. Kill Confirmed has players confirm their kills by picking up fallen enemies’ dog tags for some extra points. Leave them for an enemy to pick up however, and they get points for denying the kill. In Team Defender, players have to capture, and then hold on to, the flag for as long as possible.

They also talk about customisable modes, namely how easy they are to share using the new Elite service which launches with the game. Check it out below — there’s plenty of gameplay footage shown here, and you’ll get to see how Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward think it’s going to be different.

With just a week before release, are you excited about getting to grips with Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer? We think it is looking fantastic, and if our single player preview is anything to go by, that is shaping up pretty well, too.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases November 8th, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PC.
