Konami Announce New Metal Gear Solid WebsiteKonami have announced that Metal Gear Solid now has a home on the internet! MetalGearSolid.com is now the place to go for EVERYTHING you need to know on Hideo Kojima’s confusing, yet glorious series. The revamped online home of MGS will host such things as trailers, gameplay footage and production team updates. It’ll also have all the latest news on the upcoming games; Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for PS3 & 360 along with Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for Nintendo 3DS.

Konami have said that the website is in 3 layers;
•Layer One is the METAL GEAR SOLID Timeline, an interactive aggregation of the game series’ most pivotal events, characters, and storylines spanning over 200 years.

•Layer Two is the Production Timeline, where fans can follow and interact with the personal METAL GEAR SOLIDmemories, favourites, and insights of key members of the Kojima Productions development team.

•Layer Three is the Player Timeline. Via this, fans can add their own mark to the legend of METAL GEAR SOLID by submitting their personal nostalgic moments, uploading photos and videos, and viewing and commenting on other players’ memories in order to create a diverse and dynamic community connected by the heritage of the METAL GEAR SOLID storyline.

Also, for those with twitter and facebook accounts – which is pretty much everyone at this stage – you can, “connect to the site and seamlessly leverage their social channels to enhance their integration into the METAL GEAR SOLID legacy”. There’s the usual  ‘Like’, Tweet & Google +1 buttons available too.
