Max Payne 3 Delayed Until May & Max Payne Special Edition Pre-Orders Delayed Until April

Max Payne 3 Delayed Until May & Max Payne Special Edition Pre-Orders Delayed Until AprilMax Payne 3 now has a real release date! But it’s not in March as was previously announced. Sadly, the game has been pushed all the way back to May 18th for console gamers and 1st June for PC players. Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar said, “Max Payne 3 brings powerful storytelling back to the action-shooter genre…Rockstar Studios are delivering a game that’s both incredibly cinematic and very, very intense to play.”

If you’ve been following news on the game, I’m sure you already know that it takes place in São Paulo, Brazil as Max tries to escape his troubled past by working as a security guard for a wealthy dude named, Rodrigo Branco. Let the action ensue…POTENTIAL SPOILER: Max’s current life will probably be fairly troubled too. Well, it’d be a pretty boring game if it wasn’t, wouldn’t it?

Update: Along with the announcement of a release date for the game, the pre-order window for the Special Edition has been extended until 2nd April. The Max Payne 3 Special Edition Includes a 10″ Collectible Max Payne Statue, Original Still Life Art Prints, Bullet Keychain, Classic Multiplayer Character Pack, Disorderly Conduct Multiplayer Weapons Pack and Official Soundtrack.

Max Payne 3 is set for release on 18th May for Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 and 1st June for PC.
