Miyamoto Confirms New Untitled Game for NintendoBefore Jaffe, Cliffy B, Todd Howard and Kojima…there was the man simply known as, Miyamoto…Well, he has a first name too…it’s Shigeru. Anyway, the Nintendo Godlike figure has revealed that he has new project on the way, on top of Luigi’s Mansion 2 for 3DS  and Pikmin 3 for Wii U.

In an interview with Zoomin Games, it has been confirmed that Miyamoto is working on a new game, however there is no details on what the game actually is or the platform it will be on.

“People have come to expect a lot from me. This certainly makes me feel some pressure. But if you ask me, ‘Is it too much pressure to try to come out with something new?’ I have to say no, I’m enjoying myself. But when I make something new, I always have to try to do my best”

In the interview below, he also made reference to his recent “retirement” and the reaction from fans. He said that, “I have no intention to retire at all”…so sleep easy Nintendo Heads. Along with that, Shigeru Miyamoto claimed that realistic graphics in video games aren’t his bag. Stating, “when it comes to the realistic games, you have to create something familiar. I personally want to make something really different”.

I’m leaping for joy at the thought of a new IP from Nintendo. The last one was Wii Sports, if you want to be technical. Maybe even Pikmin before that. Can Miyamoto hit another one out of the park? Probably.
