Assassin’s Creed 3 Release Date Revealed

by on February 15, 2012

No, you definitely read the title right. Assassin’s Creed 3 is set to be released on October 30th 2012.

Ubisoft announced the games release date in a call from Ubisoft head honcho Yves Guillemot. He confirmed the release date for the game and also revealed that the game had been in development for a solid three years.

A major Assassin’s Creed title was hinted at last year by Ubisoft themselves, in which the running story would be completed. Being based on the ‘real’ doomsday predictions of the Mayan Calendar and predictions of the world ending this December, the game is set to release with little more than a month before that. Whether or not we’ll be seeing the games events come to fruition or not is not yet known (but I can give you my opinion, if you want.)

Ubisoft also revealed that a 2012 title of the Assassin’s Creed franchise would be making it’s way to the Wii U so it’s not a bad bet to assume this could be the one, making it the first proper Assassin’s Creed game to make it to a Nintendo Console. Just in time, as the world ends soon after. Apparently. How nice.

We’ll be sure to bring you any updates on the game when they arrive.
