Sony’s Crackle Becomes the Newest Entertainment App on Xbox LIVE
Joining the ever growing list of apps on Xbox, is Sony’s service, Crackle. Crackle, in a nutshell, is a streaming video service that is comprised mainly of movies and TV shows by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The service is accessible with an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership in Australia, Canada, United States and United Kingdom.
Of course, in the UK, the apps are coming thick and fast since the dashboard update last year. You can watch Sky, 4oD, YouTube and many more now. The paid service, Netflix recently launched in the UK and Ireland and is being pushed big time with advertising. The announcement of Crackle is another foray into the world of turning your gaming console into the media centre that this generation’s systems are becoming.
