Disney Epic Mickey 2 Out This Fall

Disney-Epic-Mickey-2-Out-This-FallThe first Epic Mickey may have passed under your radar when it released in late 2010. Despite selling an impressive 2 million units, with the title being a Wii exclusive many gamers missed out on what was a genuinely unique and interesting experience. Far from being just another kids game, players saw a slightly darker take on Disney’s world and characters.

The announcement of Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will have many fans excited, although there are some pretty big changes from the original. Firstly the game is described as a musical, I guess fitting seeing as it is a Disney product but it will be interesting to see exactly how this effects the game. The introduction of co-op will be a hugely welcome edition to the game, with players taking control of both Mickey and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Junction Point’s Warren Spector talks about players being able to dynamically tackle puzzles and see consequences for their actions.

For a first look at the game in action check out the trailer below.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will be available on Wii and now also in HD on Xbox 360 and PS3 when it launches this fall.
