Bethesda Release New Dishonored Developer Documentary "Immersion"As the Dishonored release date approaches at an agonisingly slow pace, Bethesda continue to tease us with “Immersion”, the next episode of their developer documentary series that goes behind the scenes of Arkane Studios’ steampunk adventure game.

Featuring, among others, Co-Creative Directors Harvey Smith and Raf Colantonio, and Visual Design Director Viktor Antonov, the doc digs deeper into the ideas that gave birth to the city of Dunwall, the central hub of Dishonored. Based loosely on London of 1666, Dunwall stands out amongst other game-worlds because of its unique blend of steampunk technology and Tesla-style energy devices, its grimy, gritty veneer and what Harvey Smith calls its “non-photorealistic art style”.

Casting you as disgraced bodyguard-turned-assassin Corvo Atano on a supernatural quest to clear your name and avenge the death of your beloved Empress, Dishonored boasts one of the more exciting and potentially impressive settings seen this year – not to mention an incredible voice-cast including Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif and Michael Madsen. Immersion also touches on the voice-acting and some of the factors that influenced the casting.

Watch the documentary below for an in-depth look at Dunwall in all her gloomy glory, as well as an insight into some of the characters and how they came to be.

Dishonored is being developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda. It is scheduled to launch in North America on October 9th and across Europe on October 12th.
