Marvel Heroes Closed Beta to Begin on October 1stGazillion Entertainment have announced that their free-to-play MMORPG, Marvel Heroes, will enter closed beta on October 1st. Alongside a brand new gameplay trailer, Gazillion also unveiled three new characters at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Seattle.

A roster already stacked out with the likes of Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Thor and Iron Man will now include Daredevil (absent Ben Affleck’s chin), Squirrel Girl and the Punisher. Created by David Brevik, co-founder of Diablo bigwigs Blizzard North, Marvel Heroes will see players take on the roles of a huge selection of superheroes and team up withe friends in an attempt to thwart the dastardly designs of Doctor Doom, Bullseye, Magneto and various other nefarious supervillains.

On October 1st the closed beta goes live, allowing lucky fans the chance to get in early and get to grips with the vast world and extensive Action-RPG elements. For a chance to get in on the beta, you’ll need to head to over to www.marvelheroes.com and follow the instructions.

Marvel Heroes is being developed for Microsoft Windows by Gazillion Entertainment. No release date has been set.
