Hitman: Absolution Voice Cast Revealed

Hitman: Absolution Voice Cast RevealedFor a game that puts so much emphasis on keeping quiet, IO Interactive’s Hitman: Absolution boasts a pretty impressive list of people who are going to talk all over everything.

Previously kept under wraps by publishers Square-Enix, the voice roster for Absolution has now been revealed – and it’s a bit of a doozy. Quite surprisingly, series stalwart David Bateson returns as the voice of main man Agent 47 despite previously dropping from the project. Keith Carradine (most recently of Deadwood and Dexter fame) and the legendary Powers Boothe (The Emerald Forest, Tombstone, Sin City, The Avengers) are on villain duties as Blake Dexter and Benjamin Travis (head of ICA) respectively.

Leading females come in the shapely, and rather dangerous, forms of Vivica Fox (Copperhead in Kill Bill and Will Smith’s fiancée in Independance Day) as Lasandra Dixon, head of the “Assassin Nuns” as seen in the controversial trailer; and Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight’s Tale) as Travis’ secretary Jade. British TV Actress Marsha Thomason (Naomi Dorrit in Lost) voices 47’s long-time handler Diana.

It’s an interesting assortment of talent, which of course means very little if the game is no good – but, as Adam discovered in his recent hands-on preview, that really isn’t likely to be an issue.

Hitman: Absolution is being developed by IO Interactive and published by Square-Enix on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and is scheduled to launch across Europe on November 20th.
