Casey Hudson Asks Mass Effect Fans What They Want in Next GameOh no…the last time fans spoke up about Mass Effect, we got the Extended Cut of Mass Effect 3. Yes, some people were of the opinion that video games as a medium give studios the opportunity to “right their wrongs”, whereas some others thought an artist should never, under any circumstances, compromise their integrity.

Regardless, they changed it via optional DLC. A couple of days ago, Mass Effect’s Executive Producer Casey Hudson tweeted for the first time since the controversy and said;

“We’re in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it?”

Now, we’ve known that the game was in development, but we also know that asking fans what they want can be a dangerous thing. However, Hudson tweeted again today and said;

“Great suggestions coming in for the next #MassEffect game. Seems to be lots of interest in playable alien races.”

In all honesty, its good to see such an influential figure in games asking the public what they’d like to see, just as long as that doesn’t interfere with BioWare’s own plans. A playable alien race would be a great move for the series. Whether that’s a prequel trilogy or whatnot, something drastically different – such as the First Contact War – would be extremely intriguing.
