Jetpack Joyride Available on North American PSN Today (UPDATE: Confirmed for EU PSN)

Barry Steakfries has come to the PlayStation. One of the best mobile games of last year was without doubt Jetpack Joyride and now PS3, Vita and PlayStation 3 owners in North America will get to play Halfbrick’s crowning glory, as confirmed by the US PlayStation Blog.

Only confirmed for a North American PSN release at the minute, the game will have 34 “in-game achievements” – we’re guessing they’re trophies on the PS3 and Vita, a choice of 12 different jetpacks and more than twelve outfits for Mr. Steakfries.

The price? An outrageous $3.99. The game is free on Apple’s App Store and has been for quite some time. In all honesty, that was probably a big factor in the game being downloaded over 35 million times. It’s still an absolutely phenomenal game and everyone should have a go…but for $3.99? Hmmm…

UPDATE: EU PlayStation Blog has now confirmed that the game is coming to the European PlayStation Store later today. The price is just as expensive at £3.49/€3.99.

Jetpack Joyride is available now for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Portable, iOS and Android.
