Single Player of Rayman Legends Will Feature 20% Touch

Single Player of Rayman Legends Will Feature 20% TouchThe comeback kid that ain’t got arms is on his way to Wii U in early 2013, as we all know.  However, when it was announced that the sequel to Rayman Origins would be exclusive to Nintendo’s next gen consoles, we were unsure about how much touch based gameplay would be involved using the Game Pad.

Lead Game Designer Emile Morel spoke to GameKult, which MyNintendoNews picked this up and offered some translation for the English speaking world. Morel said that the single player will consist of 80% platforming and 20% of the levels will be built around the new green fly-thing, Murphy. These stages are apparently optional and aren’t a requirement to progress through the game.

Seems a little bit strange that they’re optional when the Murphy levels are surely the thing that the Wii U can do differently to Nintendo’s competitors. The fact that Rayman Legends has been delayed until next year may stop a few people from picking up the Wii U, time will tell on that one.

Rayman Legends is set to release in Q1, 2013 for Nintendo Wii U
