Wanna Shout at Your Telly Whilst Playing Dead Space 3? Now You Can with Kinect

Wanna Shout at Your Telly Whilst Playing Dead Space 3? Now You Can with KinectMan, EA are really pushing co-op in the next Dead Space. Now, you can just roar things like “give medkit”, or “fire stasis”, at the motion tracking camera in order to communicate with your buddy, we’ve learned thanks to Destructoid. Why press pesky buttons when everyone loves a bit of shouting, now and again?..That’s rhetorical. Shouting > buttons. Visceral Games’ Steve Papoutsis seems pretty happy about this inclusion as he said;

“The voice commands in Dead Space 3 give players a unique way to take down the terror, whether they choose to face the Necromorphs alone in single-player, or alongside a friend with drop-in / drop-out co-op. Dead Space 3 delivers the action-horror experience our fans have come to know and love. And with the ability to survive the adventure alone, with a friend, or with Kinect, we’re excited about extending the spine-tingling Dead Space experience to a whole new audience of players.”

Dead Space 3 becomes the first co-op game to include Kinect’s voice functionality. In all seriousness, maybe this will help the ebb and flow of the co-op…somehow, but will people really use it? Really?

Dead Space 3 will be released on February 8 in Europe and February 5 in North America for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
