Bungie Expeted to Reveal New Info on Destiny at GDCIt’s almost unfathomable to think that Destiny has been talked about among gaming circles since the Summer of last year. In the lawsuit between Zampella/West and Activision, Bungie’s contract with Activision was brought up and revealed what the former Halo dev was developing. On top of that, in November, some story details were leaked.

Whilst speculation has been rife, Bungie have remained tight-lipped on what exactly “Destiny” is. However, all of that is going to change this coming March at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California.

Through GameSpot, we’ve learned that Art Director Christopher Barrett & Writer and Design Director Joe Staten will head up a talk that Bungie are presenting called; Brave New World: New Bungie IP. They’ll be discussing the studio’s design techniques and processes.

ungie writer and design director Joe Staten and art director Christopher Barrett will lead the discussion, titled Brave New World: New Bungie IP.” The talk will focus on Bungie’s design process and world-building techniques, running from concept to production. The event’s description on GDC’s schedule mentions that Bungie’s new IP is “a place where the next ten years of great Bungie adventures will unfold.”

From what we’ve read and seen so far, Destiny – if that is what it’s called – looks and feels a lot like Halo. Personally, I’d be more interested to see Bungie do something drastically different, but I would never be so brash to rule out a game that hasn’t even been officially unveiled as a “Halo clone”.
