Capcom Not Planning on Bringing “Late Ports” to Wii U

Capcom Not Planning on Bringing "Late Ports" to Wii UThe Nintendo Wii U launched in Europe on November 30 and came a little earlier to our North American cousins, and as you’re well aware, many of the console’s launch line-up consisted of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ports like Assassin’s Creed III and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. However, Capcom are looking forward, not back.

Over at Capcom-Unity, Christian Svensson said that “With regard to WiiU, in general we’re looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table”, which CVG picked up on.

Good news for video games fans. Why would you want talented studios under the Capcom umbrella to focus their talents on porting the publisher’s back catalogue to Nintendo’s newest console. New games = much, much better.
