FuturLab Bringing Velocity Ultra to PS VitaThere’s this sense of disgust among gamers when the subject of PlayStation Minis come up. A lot of the time, the platform has been home to countless amounts of shovelware, yet there are some shining lights like Where is My Heart?, or FuturLab’s Velocity.

What was a fantastic Mini, is now being reworked for a PS Vita re-release. Velocity is getting the HD treatment in the form of Velocity Ultra. New additions to the game include trophies, online leaderboards and a beautiful new art style.

There’s no confirmed release date, yet FuturLab are hoping that Vita owners will get their hands on Velocity Ultra, come May of this year. Currently, the developer is running a questionnaire on their site, asking fans what they’d like to see in a Velocity sequel.

In all seriousness, there are tons of PS Minis that are less than sub-par, but Velocity is one of the massive stands out. If you haven’t played this yet, don’t let this re-release pass you by.
