That is, according to Hidaki Kamiya of Platinum Games, and we think he’d probably know best.
Since the announcement of the delay and multi-platform change to Rayman Legends, the internet has been aflame with anger, and even some concern from Wii U fans that two more major exclusives from Platinum Games might slip too.
Well, taking to Twitter, Kamiya has said that (and forgive the rough translation) both games are funded by Nintendo, so if they were to hit PS3 and Xbox 360, it’d be because Nintendo said so.
NeoGAF has offered a better translation, as below:
We’re a development company…Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it…So if Nintendo says ‘We’re putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360’ it’ll come out on those platforms…So ask Nintendo about it…
Sad for multi-platform gamers, then, but good for the hardcore Nintendo fans? Forgive us for thinking this, but it’s a case of stating the obvious, no? Let us know what you think, below.
