Bioshock Infinite Vita Development Yet to Start

by on February 26, 2013

Bioshock Infinite Vita Development Yet to StartBioshock Infinite may have gone Gold for its launch platforms, but what about the Vita version? Irrational Games Creative Director and Co-Founder Ken Levine has been talking about the games development.

At E3 last year, Ken Levine appeared on stage at Sony’s pre show press briefing, wielding a Vita in one hand, while behind him giant screens showed off the Bioshock Infinite logo. You would assume then, after that, the game would be turning up on Sony’s handheld at some point. Perhaps not..

Ken Levine has been talking to IGN about finally getting the game done, and when asked about when we will see a Vita version of the game, he said;

“I’ve got my fingers crossed that that’s going to happen because it’s something I want to do but until somebody starts signing the checks, there’s nothing I can do.

Not sounding promising, then. He went on to say that if it was up to him, he’d have his team working on it right away, since it would mean more people staying in their jobs.

We’ll have to watch this space to see if Infinite does indeed make the transition from big screen to little screen, but in the mean time at least we have the console and PC versions to look forward to.

Bioshock Infinite is due to release March 26th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC
